Below are the 3 main components to look out for when buying a computer to get the best bang for your buck!
1) CPU Processor ‐ This is the “brain” of the computer which is usually not upgradable. We recommend the following: Intel Core i3, i5, i7 or AMD A10, FX, Ryzen 5,7
2) Hard Drive ‐ This is the “history book” of the computer, that stores all your files. A solid state drive (SSD) is highly recommended as traditional drives tend to be quite slow due to moving parts within it. Having no moving parts, SSDs do tend to have a long, reliable life and are extremely fast.
3) Memory (RAM) ‐ This is also known as the working memory. The more the RAM, the more programs your computer can run at the same time. RAMs of 8GB or higher is recommended but a 4GB with an SSD will do.
It’s all about balancing the powers. It’s no point in getting PC with a fast processor but a slow hard drive- it will only run as fast as the slowest component.
